We are in-network with Medicare and with UnitedHealthcare / Optum Behavioral Health. Anthem BCBS through Carelon, Aetna, and Nevada Medicaid are pending. For other plans we provide a detailed superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and we verify your coverage at no charge before your first visit.
Medi-Cal (California Medicaid) covers telehealth psychiatric services, though we are not currently in-network with Medicaid in this state. Self-pay pricing and sliding-scale options are available.
Common plans in California include Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, Covered California plans. Where we are out of network we provide detailed superbills for possible reimbursement, plus a self-pay discount with sliding-scale options. Coverage is verified before your first visit.
Medicare Part B covers telehealth psychiatric services with no geographic restriction, at the same rates as in-person care. Medicare Advantage PPO members can be seen out of network.

California's psychiatric shortage is a geography problem rather than a headcount problem. The coastal metros are well supplied; the Central Valley, the Inland Empire, the Antelope Valley, and the far north are federally designated shortage areas where patients wait months. In much of the San Joaquin Valley, the overwhelming majority of residents live in a mental health professional shortage area.
Telehealth reaches the parts of California where the prescribers are not. Patients must be physically located in California at the time of the appointment. Ask about current availability during the consultation, since capacity in California is limited.
